All of the dogs receive constant, caring interaction and supervision from the highly trained and knowledgable staff, who make it their goal to always keep their guests happy and comfortable.

The dogs that spend the night at the kennel also get a full day of daycare with their boarding,  and now with the addition of new overnight luxury suites, Evergreen Kennel can offer a customizable boarding experience for all its guests. They have installed web cams throughout the facility, so not only will they be supervising your dog, but you can also watch your dog play the day away.

Grooming services also are offered. Marci Brakel has more than 19 years of experience as a professional groomer and offers spa treatments, such as deep conditioning, hot oil treatments and teeth brushing in addition to her regular grooming services. And don’t forget cats; she grooms them too!

Harmony Animal Wellness specializes in holistically treating the whole animal. It is a full-service veterinary office in Kittredge serving the surrounding mountain communities, owned and operated by Diana M. Roberts, DVM. Services include veterinary acupuncture, allergy eradication, applied kinesiology, canine massage, spaying and neutering, dental cleaning and care, Dorn therapy, Reiki, behavioral counseling and vaccinations.

Harmony Animal Wellness, located in the Adobe Creek Center in Kittredge, has won Mountain Connection “best of” honors four years in row, voted Best of Kittredge in 2009.

Buster’s Natural Pet Supply

Buster’s specializes in bringing wellness to your animal friends and wellness means both a nutritious diet and a lifestyle. Buster’s pledges, “Our store, products and service are always there for you. Come by and check us out! Give us a call and let us know how we can help you.” Buster’s is owned by Nancy Crivello and the famous Buster, the dog, who is featured in the store’s advertising. Buster, Nancy’s real-life four-legged partner, speaks up for the dogs of the mountain communities. He is typically quoted in the Buster’s ads and on the store website. Pine Country Feed

An abundance of simple country charm meets the needs of a rural community at Pine Country Feed in Pine Junction. Owners Dave and Kathryn Hoffman have been carefully sculpting this country store, and the result is one-stop shopping for many more than just animal lovers. “It’s a lot more than a feed store,” said Kathryn, gesturing to the displays of jewelry and photography by local artisans. “It’s a lot more than a gift store, too. There is a huge saddle room upstairs filled with consignment saddles that go rather quickly.”

They host events throughout the year, inviting locals to Horse Owner Workshops and Chick Days, where, on the weekend after Easter, residents can be introduced to the joys of raising chicks.
