Owners Pam and Kurt Jakobson are busy doing a lot of remodels and upgrades in this tight economy as home and business owners are deciding to invest in their properties.

Evergreen Tile can do any remodeling that does not involve an addition to a building. They can move walls and beautify with tile, stone, marble, slate and faux stone, lighting fixtures and vanities, but they cannot “add onto an existing building.”

Check out live plants at Hutchison Lumber this spring. Hutchison Lumber is expanding its lawn and garden department in partnership with Scotts Miracle Gro, featuring Scotts’ full line of products. It also is contacting local nurseries for live plants to be offered in the spring.

Hutchison Lumber President Bryan Hutchison is committed to community participation and is active with the annual Home and Garden Show, which this year will be May 22 and 23 at Evergreen High School. Money raised is donated back to the community through the local Evergreen and Conifer Rotary clubs.

Hutchison Lumber is a Do It Best hardware store and assures customers that “no job is too small to bid.”

It was founded by Robert Hutchison in 1979 and incorporated in 1986. It’s now run by Robert’s son, Bryan.

Eric Engberg owner of Eric Engberg Company - EECO-Gen Contractor

The Eric Engberg Co. is a licensed and insured general contracting firm based out of Indian Hills. President Eric Engberg has worked in various areas of the construction industry for over 30 years. Currently, he is performing whole house remodels, which can include replacing doors, interior trim, finishing basements, kitchen and bath construction, flooring replacement and paint.

The list is not all inclusive as he is eager and willing to perform any type of work that his clients may require including small commercial buildings, barns and solar installations.

When asked what he prefers to do, Eric said he enjoys meeting with his clients, collaborating during the creative process and making sure the construction process goes well.

He is willing to work around his clients’ schedules; even allowing them to do some of the work themselves in order to keep their costs down. However, his forte is quality of workmanship and striving to bring the job in on time. Repeat customers are characteristic of his client base.

Being based in the foothills gives Eric the opportunity to work with clients not only in the mountains, but also in the Denver metro and Front Range areas.
